Faster image scaling/resizing

Hello,

I am wondering if there are faster methods available for image resizing that Serviio could make use of please? For example, an option to use faster but lower quality scaling methods/libraries within Java (preferably a selectable option in the Console maybe?), or perhaps using a 3rd party tool to do the resizing? I find that loading of images with Serviio can be quite slow on an older/slower PC.

Another option is to resize images to match to native resolution of the renderer, e.g. all images resized to a maximum of 1920x1080 for Full HD televisions.

Thanks in advance for your consideration.

Yes, it's slow. Other option would be to use FFmpeg or similar to do that, i might look into it sometime in future. not a priority now though.

Ok, thanks zip. I have created a bitbucket ticket.
