I've recently noticed that if your browse to the Media Browser by just the port number it displays a server error.

For example http://myipaddress.com:23424 displays the message

Not Found

The server has not found anything matching the request URI

You can get technical details here.
Please continue your visit at our home page.

Is it possible to redirect that to the mediabrowser? ie http://myipaddress.com:23424 redirects to http://myipaddress.com:23424/mediabrowser

No. There are other serives on that port (namely CDS REST service), so it'd make no sense.
