force transcoding

Hello!

It would be nice to able to FORCE the transcoding.

I use samsung es8000 series tv and sometimes it just happens that video just does not work and it needs transcoding.

specially in the high level h264 files sometimes does this.

Now i need to edit profile data manually to make this work

suggestion:
It would be nice if forc transcoding could be ticket in the configuration window.

for example ps3 media center has this.

Best, Jukka

Re: force transcoding

if you can post the information on the video file that will not play under the normal profile, the profile gurus on here should be able to modify the normal profile you are using and allow the video format to play for you and everyone else that uses that profile.

Or if you want to you can use the directTV DVR ( I think that is the name of it) it transcodes everything. But you will loose some of the samsung integrations that are included in the samsung profile.
