Simply comment lines with "matroska".

Re: MKV with embedded subtitles

Well, that is not the solution, now i can not see any of my MKV movie.
Is there any other format that support embeddet sub on serviio and runs on Sony SMP-N100?

The reasson why i like MakeMKV is that it converts very very fast

it maybe fast but its not very acuate, what would you rather a working file that take abit of time or a quick done one that fails?

Hmm. it seems that it is VOBSUB there is the problem, when a MKV has VOBSUB i can not see the subs when i run it from Serviio. On VLC it runs fine with subs.

Anything to do about this??

This is not Serviio the problem, but your device renderer that not supports MKV with VOBSUB embedded.
Serviio simply delivered the mkv file in native format.

And when sub are is external, serviio delivered the two resource video+srt, and this is the device renderer that request resources if supported.

You have to find the good mkv format with sub embedded supported by your device renderer.

Re: MKV with embedded subtitles

Actually serviio profiles often force transcoding on mkv files to fix device compatibility issues.

Thus having the ability to deliver the sub externally or in the video stream would still be a good feature as there are devices that support external subs but have mkv issues.
