I just installed pc share manager in windows (in my laptop). But.... TV cant detect this server....¿?¿?¿? Maybe I have to install any other sofware, I dont know.

No other SW needed. Did you set device policy? In Share menu, you have to enable the TV's IP address to be accessible.

Hi, I think Samsung definitely changed the way the new C-series TV would expect subtitle files transported through the DLNA service. I have both PN50B850 and PN50C550 set up connecting to the same Serviio server (v0.3.1 installed on a MS Home Server). The B850 can display subtitle fine but the C550 cannot. However if I copied the video file along with the subtitle file onto a USB key and plugged that into the C550 then it can display the subtitle without an issue, just as jmleon described. Any new findings on what Samsung might've changed for the C-series TV?

I had a A-serie Samsung before and it didn't support subtitles. I was looking for transcoding to solve this issue but at the end it was not possible. I ended up returning my TV and getting a C-series (C9500). It does support subtitle but not through Serviio so Im back to where I was before depending on transcoding to stream my tv shows...

Just installed 0.4.1 hoping that the subtitle issue would be fixed but I still have the same problem... using a pendrive the TV (C-Serie) reads the subtitle (.srt) normally but not when streaming out of Serviio. I can try to send some more details but I'm not sure how to do that on a mac...

Believe me, this is one of my priorities and I've been trying to fix this in the last 2 months. I don't know what Samsung did in the C series to break this, will carry on trying.

I have a series C tv and the subs dont work via serviio. If you need me to do some testing for ya just shout. I use linux so I can enable detailed logging and inspect http headers or whatever (altho I may need a pointer or 2 to work out how to do the http header logging).

If what you are looking for is a software that work properly with Samsung C Series, Mezzmo is one of them.
My Samsung TV (UE32C6530) shows the subtitles with this server, but not with Serviio or TVMobily.

I'll need a packet sniffing tool (Wireshark) file from the moment you turn on the TV until you play a file with subtitles.

I have a LN40C550 Samsung and subtitles are working perfectly fine since 0.4 version. Upgraded to 0.41 and now using C-series profile and still working like a charm!

I am using serviio server on samsung ps50c670 and i have no subtitles on my TV too.
I am going to sniff communication between Samsung PS50c670 and serviio today evening.

Maybe it´s better to open another thread for this BUT, the one feature I´d like to see is Serviio rendering subtitles. That´s not silliness, I explain: my TV(and I believe most of devices) doesn´t have any functions to configure subtitle´s font, size, color, etc. So, if Serviio renders the subtitle it could give us this option. Ok, you may think: "Go ask Samsung to give you this feature!". You are WAY more accessible than those guys, and you´ll make Samsung and many other brands customers happy

What is the firmware version?

Regarding rendering subtitles, it's not possible with FFmpeg (so far). YOu can hack your TV firmware though (SammyGo) to enable changing subtitle size,color, etc.

So here is sniffed file with communication between serviio server and Samsung PS50C670.
Server is the best DLNA as I found, only subtitles is missing. I hope, that implementation will be easy.
