Android Remote

Have you ever thought of an Android Remote? able to start/stop/pause and select video/audio to play ... i.e. actively to control the Renderer?

thx

Re: Android Remote

I assume it must already exist - a generic DLNA controller / player.

Re: Android Remote

That would have to be programmed for each hardware DLNA Client. I know there is a few out there for VLC for the android already. But what they do is control the DLNA render not the server.

Re: Android Remote

I can tell how JRiver MC is doing it: its a media server and controller and offers an app called gizmo.
