downscaling transcoding

Hello,

I have 1080p movies that play perfectly well on my Samsung LN55C630 TV with the Samsung C/D/E profile. However, these movies are choppy when played on my two Android devices, a Nexus One and a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 both using Skifta and MX Player and the Generic Android profile in Serviio. The problem is more obvious on the Nexus, and the Tab plays 720p movies perfectly. So, is there a way to create a second Android profile for the Tab, ans is there a way to transcode heavy movies to something smaller, say 480p or SD quality for the Nexus device, and 720p for the Tab device? Like that I wont be stuck with a 1080p version of a file for the TV, a 720p version of the same file for the Tab and a SD version for the Nexus :D

PS I have already ditched Allshare for the Tab after about a week of fiddling. It's a nice app, but too complicated to make work.
