Can't play file with filenames involving chinese characters

My Samsung C Blu Ray is connected to serviio (v5)

Whenever filenames involving chinese characters, my Samsung can't see them. Renaming the filenames with alphabet, my Samsung can see them.

Is it a limiation of serviio, my Samsung or my setup? Can the profile be changed to enable my Samsung to see files with chinese characters in the filenames?

can you check the log to see if those files have been added to the library? Also check with AVMediaCenter from Intel tools to see if you can browse to see them.

Log file reported the following error:

ffmpeg.exe -i "filename with chinese characters"
Skipping processing metadata for an unsupported file. Message: Unknown video file type

Renaming the file with alphabet and then refresh library, the file was added to the library successfully and could be played back.

Restore the original filename (ie chinese characters) and then refresh library, the file disapppeared from the library.

Also, if a folder contains chinese characters, nothing would appear in the library - not even those with only alphabet in filenames.

If looks like ffmpeg could not read filenames/folder-names with chinese characters

Avimediacenter can read files even chinese characters in filenames.

Could this bug be fixed?

Cheers,
