Ps3 vs. Sony BD 370?

With the 'folder' view of some ripped DVD's VIDEO_TS folders, on a ps3 I see a thumbnail image (sometimes correct, sometimes not) and the length of each .vob file, while the same thing on a Sony BD 370 blu-ray player just shows a generic image and the file name. Is that normal or is there a way to get the thumbnail images and length to show on the 370? It makes it easier to pick the .vob that contains the main feature.

The FAQ explains the video thumbnail, but not the lack of clip length display. I suppose it's the same issue, though.
