I have been using serviio for a long time, but after installing the new version of Sonoma OS 14.6.1 I encountered a mysterious situation.
The serviio server stopped starting. I immediately reinstalled serviio and the program started working normally.
However, when I turned on the computer again the next day, the server did not start again.
I reinstalled serviio again and it worked normally. After rebooting the computer, the server again refused to start.
What is the problem?

I'm no expert with Linux or MacOS, so can only offer some general suggestions. First, look in the Serviio log file for any signs of problems. Just a guess on my part, but is sounds like a possible corrupt database install, and to my knowledge the only solution is to completely remove Serviio and reinstall it. I know it might be a pain to set it back up again, but I don't know of any other solution for DB problems.
If it's something other than the DB, then the log might help point out the issue.

Thank you for your reply. I completely deleted all Serviio directories and reinstalled it. Unfortunately, this action did not change the situation.
There is no desire to deal with logs. Good software should not force the end user to read logs!

I decided to say goodbye to Serviio. Universal Media Server (UMS) is the best solution for today.
