Him I've some files to show in loop on 2 TV LG, can Serviio do this? Which appshould work on the LG, will it work by DLNA? I would keep the streams syncro, for this reason I guess streaming is better than DLNA, and the best is multicast.
May you please suggest me a solution? I would use a free app on LG, if there is one :D
Thank you!

If you are referring to the device continuing to play a list of videos over and over, restarting when it reaches the end of the list, that is completely dependent on the player. There's nothing that can be done from Serviio's side to force a player to restart the list.

I can't say if LG has such functionality within their built-in player. It may require an external player that has such functionality. Roku players do have that ability within their Roku Media Player app, and it's possible that your LG might be able to install VLC video player, and it might permit a playback loop. Any Android-based player (such as the Nvidia Shield) would depend on the app used for playback. I did just check VLC, and it can be set to play continuously either a single video or all videos in a list (such as a playlist displayed by Serviio). I'll put a link to a site that explains the settings at the bottom of the page.

I would expect that most (but perhaps not all) apps have some form of playback looping, but I'm unfamiliar with any that might do so. But there should be no problem using Serviio as the media source for most apps.

Thank you for your kind reply!

I would like to fine a solution that works with as many TV as possibile, so let's forget about the player control by the TV, yes I need a player such VLC that can reproduce a playlist of files,
So you are suggest me to use VLC and stream those files by a protocol (which one is better? simple UDP transport?) then use Serviio to broadcast that stream to TV, which format Serviio will use then? Which app on LG should I use to show the stream? I have few experienc with LG, and I know that quite all programs want money to work (almost without give a chance to test them before), but I know M3U IPTV that works great and it's free, can I use it with Serviio?
I hope you aren't suggesting a DLNA solution, since it looks not really comfortable to get it work every day

Thank you!

I just tried an LG TV sitting next to me. I first looked to see if VLC was available in the app store, but it is not. Next I tried playing some music on my Serviio using the TV's built-in DLNA player. I found that I could play a file, and while in that file I could use the down arrow to select Shuffle, repeat the same file, or repeat all files. No repeat at all was also an option. I don't have any music playlists, but it should function the same with a playlist file.
