Ability to change the way audio file titles are displayed

Hi,

First of all, Serviio is a great tool, thanks for developing it for us ! However one feature provided for instance by Synology's MediaServer is missing imho : the ability to define how audio files are displayed.

Indeed, currently audio files are displayed using their filename. This is not really convenient when filenames are long and renderer's display window is small (i.e. Cambridge Audio renderers.) What would be great is to be able to define the way the name is displayed based on ID3 tag contents. For instance :

- filename (as is, status quo)
- title
- track - title
- album - track - title

With fallback to filename if required ID3 tag is missing.

Thank you in advance and keep up the good work !

K.

It uses ID3 title tag everywhere, but Folders category.

Hi Petr, Thank you for your reply.

Indeed, when using other categories, it displays titles. Well it's too bad that it doesn't work for folders as I'm only using the folder category :-)

Would it be possible to have an option to allow us to use ID3 tags when using Folders category ?
Further, would it be possible to display tracknumber - title when track number is available, title if no tracknumber is available and filename otherwise ?

That would be great !

Thank you in advance and see you :-)
