Serviio

Hi,
Newbie here but i'm VERY impressed with serviio it works brilliantly!

However i cannot get the ONLINE streams to play on my KISS 1600 player (i know its quite old) the online content plays ok on my Sony TV etc just not on the KISS player.

Is it possible to create a custom profile to enable this to work? if so how?

If i can get this working i'll definately buy the Pro version!

I'm running serviio on an old Pentium 4 3.0GHz so only want to re-encode where i have too.

PS tried a few of the default ones but no luck.

I know i need to edit profiles.xml which i have started on but how do i translate the above into the correct format?

Did you try any other profiles? eg DirecTV?

Yes I tried every one they all say codec not supported.

I presume you don't need to restart serviio after changing?

Hmm, so possibly the device doesn't play well with trascoded content..

Everything else works fine DivX mp4 etc

Is there a tutorial for making a profile.xml addition?

DirecTV profile produces files that should be playable according to this protocl info. If it doesn't there is something else, possibly on the devices side, that is making it fail

Sounds like this is obsolete now then?

Can anyone recommend a suitable replacement?

Does the DitrecTV profile work for you?

Yes for everything except online streaming, it works on PS3 but not this.
