Feature: That serviio works

Guys, I am using WIld Media server from the Russians and Serviio has got a long way to go.

Look, MKV, Serviio has a problem with this and so with sub titles.

I have a Sony LCD 47" and Wild Media has never, ever, failed no matter what video format you launch to it.

This is my grain of salt. At this stage of 2012 encoding should not be a drama.

That's great you found a solution that works for you. i suggest you stick with it as different solutions work for different people.

My experience with WildMS was awful, it had really bad interface, tied looks from Windows 95 and hogging CPU performance.

I've never had no issues with mkv on my Sony Bravia with Serviio. Sony UK even licenced Serviio technology for their Homestream Media Server. Subtitles is confirmed to be coming on next version. But rather getting in a debate what other Servers can or can't do, let's try to resolve any issues.

Both use FFmpeg
If you get any issues playing a file with Serviio, post your ffmpeg - i results to identify the cause, maybe others having same issue.
This is what makes Serviio the ultimate coolest media server :D

1) I did not find a solution that works for me. I found that Serviio has got problems, so please do not try a secret service like, twisting statements to avoid problems or put dirt under the carpet.

2) Things (Serviio and others) are not "for different people". They are not meant to work on humans but on TV and/or computers with different operating systems.

Let's have the semantics in the right place without going to Eaton College in UK to learn proper English..............

Dude, every media server works in different ways and have different features. If you found a server that woks for you, that's great.

To me, Serviio works perfect for me, im not into subtitles, but for different users it's important.
If something is not working for you then you can do two thing:
1. post details about the type of file and logs.
2. search for similar solution in this forum from other users

Otherwise thanks for trying serviio, bye
