Serviio to run on a network drive?
Posted: Tue Jun 26, 2012 5:10 amDo you guys have any idea if it would be possible for someday to have Serviio run on a external network drive independently or if there are any other software or network drives that actually do that? I know that several NAS and network drives have DLNA playback capability, but those are quite limited as they don't play nearly all the formats.
Other option for going wireless would be to have a wireless network drive on my home network and running Serviio on my laptop. Would that limit the playback quality as the data wouldn't be on the same disk as the server running (and is this possible)?
