I turned up tracing on the log file hoping to see which file is causing a problem. I guess from other posts that serviio is having problems generating thumbnails or something like that. For now all that happens is serviio uses most of the CPUs
Re: Better logging for ffmpeg commands (ffmpeg 100% CPU)
This doesn't appear to be a problem with 1.0

Re: Better logging for ffmpeg commands (ffmpeg 100% CPU)
For now, I would say bug found in 0.6 fixed in 1.0
Better logging for ffmpeg commands (ffmpeg 100% CPU)
On Osx lion , I notice that after I stopped watching a stream on the Philips TV, the file javaapplicationstub continues using about 150% of CPU for a while. I am on a Mac mini dual core.
I do not see javaapplicationstub in the log. I see ffmpeg.
I think it cleans up after itself.

It finishes transcoding the entire movie, unless you start watching another movie that needs transcoding, in which case that one take over

You should take another look at the javaapplicationstub. It stays on way longer than necessary and burns lots of CPU cycles.

Does it continue transcoding the online live streams too? That may be the cause.

Not the live streams, at least it should not (FFmpeg will be killed after 30 seconds or 1 minute after you stop watching the live stream)
