Auto-sort and rename Feature

I currently use Filebot to sort and rename my videos, however I was thinking of a built in solution. I'll use the following example to explain.

All my shows are stored on G:\TV\
I have a shared folder for my network which is G:\Downloads. On a schedule or upon detection, Serviio would rename the files in here to give them a specified naming format and then move them to the relative folder.

So

I load 'Lost.S01E01.HDTV.avi' on the network share and it goes to G:\Downloads on the server.
Serviio detects this and queries TheTVDB. It finds its metdata.
Serviio then renames this to a specified format, ie. 'Lost Season 1 Episode 1 - Pilot (1).avi'
It then moves this file to its correct directory. In this case it would be G:\TV\Lost\Season 1\

Thats it :)

It would be nice too, if its possible to make the server send an email out saying "Lost Season 1 Episode 1 is now available for viewing"

Re: Auto-sort and rename Feature

You could try SickBeard or CouchPotato, they should be able to do that automagicaly.

Re: Auto-sort and rename Feature

there is already 2 great peices of software offeed by third parties and availibel form our wiki to do this its not required to be part of serviio and would just bloat it.

The Renamer: http://wiki.serviio.org/doku.php?id=therenamer ( my personal preference )

Filebot: http://wiki.serviio.org/doku.php?id=filebot
