Few requests and questions

I run w7 x64, i noticed that Serviio console and service were available for x64.
When Serviio is installed, does it automatically install the right service?

As the server is recognized with a certain delay (20 to 50 seconds) on my Panasonic plasma TVs, would it be possible to add a button to restart the server?

Serviio starts with Windows, would it be possible to start the console with windows as an option?
If i use the "exit Serviio" function and i want to launch it again, i have to start the service before launching the console (except with the bat file).
Well, in fact i am a bit lost with all the bat and exe files in the Serviio folder.

Yes

Just press stop and then start from console but delay is due to the device not serviio :)

Serviio starts with Windows, would it be possible to start the console with windows as an option?

Yes under windows you can stop the console running on startup using a program like Ccleaner and just disable the console starting.

If i use the "exit Serviio" function and i want to launch it again, i have to start the service before launching the console (except with the bat file).

Bat files

serviio.bat = the service start only
serviio-console.bat = the console start only
rest = just ignore

Drop down menu ( from the yellow icon )

exit serviio console = just closes console and leaves the service running
exit serviio = exits serviio console and the service so you have to use the bats to restart then service first then the console.

Re: Few requests and questions

You should be normally be using the service, the .bat is there just in case someone wants to run it on demand. There is now an option to start/stop the service in Windows Start menu, no need to restart it with the bat files. Other option is to go to Windows' Services console and start Serviio manually there.

OK, then i made an exe file which restarts the windows serviio service.
If you are interested in, i can put it on my server for download

I also create an exe file which restarts the service (stop+start).
Could it be added to the default installation?

Yes
Start service
Stop service
are very cool, no need to enter windows services manager!!

But, Berny and me are probably lazy or "pragmatic" (especially during betatest phase), so I also create a "Restart" entries. This is a suggestion
