Could you add a way to view meta data and pictures please in

There is a program that I have been using for years called PyTivo. It has been created and modified in www.sourceforge.com over and over again by people like the creator of Serviio and other members. I use this program to stream video to my TIVO and to get recorded videos from it as well. When I go to the "Now Playing list" of the tivo and pick my server, I see all my videos listed, When I pick a video, I then see metadata about the video. The way I get that information is very easily done with the use of a program created by one person, then modified recently by another with the help of other members. This program can gather the information of either TV Shows, Movies, or you can add you own information if not found or for something of your own making. It also downloads a *.jpg file of the show or movie. The information you then save as a text file, is information you would see from IMDB.

Being a newbie to Serviio, which I have found to be truly terrific, I was wondering if there was a way to incorporate the text metadata into the program and even be able to see the *.jpg file it gets for the video as well. I understand that the program Streambaby can show all of this information created with the program.

I am not sure if Serviio has a feature similar or not but I am still looking in the help files and in the forums. Maybe though it would be an easy amtter for someone to look at these programs and see how to make them work with Serviio.

Jpg already work with serviio as long as they are in same folder as the video and named the same "blade.avi" would have a picture named "blade.jpg". as for the txt file metadata there is already a ticket open for this to be added to serviio, NFO files from XBMC already work and serviio has builtin online metadata retreval as part of it.

if you would like these specific metadfata file added to serviio please can you provide a sample file and submit a feature ticket on bitbucket.

Could you please tell me where Serviio is showing the .nfo file. I would like to be able to see the .nfo which shows the following: (( I really want to see <plot> somewhere like I see series, actors, producers,etc. This way I would know what a movie or TV show is about before viewing it. ))

I have an "I" button on my remote which brings up "INFO" on the screen, presently that is showing the type of movie, avi, mpeg,etc The time of the for the length of the movie. How could I get it to show the .nfo file but really only the plot of the movie?

you can't as obviously the TV doesn't support that, that's what I'm saying all the time.
