minor thoughts on improvments...

Well I'll start by saying I love Serviio. I am so glad that there are people in this world who know how to write
these programs and let the rest of us use it.
I think at least for me, here are some improvements.
I'd like to be able to mark the place in the movie and come back to it latter...I have not seen if that is possible.
I'd like to be able to arrange add or delete folders in Serviio...
being able to increase the buffer, I find the longer the movie, the more hesitations it has in playback.
like to have full name of the movie in the folders.
I think I counted at least 6 steps (clicks) to get into my movie folder..
Please if anyone knows how to accomplish these tasks, let me know..
These are not complaints, I can live with Serviio the way it is... but they would be nice updates.
Best

In my experience, that is a feature of your player, not Serviio. There is a database entry with a timestamp that says where the movie was stopped. My Samsung TV seems to read it, but my Sony, Panasonic and Roku players ignore it.

In folder view, you see the full name of the file. Try naming the file with the full title.

Depending what you are attempting to reach, it shouldn't be that many. If I click the Titles folder, then I only have to choose the alphabetical folder to see a title list. That's only 2 clicks. For TV shows, you have the Series folder, then the Series name, then season. That's only three clicks. If I click the Movies folder, then all titles appear. That's only one click. Are you going into the Folders folder, then drilling down through sub-folders? Nothing can be done there, unless Serviio could read shortcuts. I think using the Titles folder would provide what you want.
