Subtitles encoding in MediaBrowser

It would be nice to have an option to change the encoding for the web interface stream (.srt for example) :)

Or maybe an option to convert the .srt in UTF8 (in tmp) and serve that.

This is the only thing that holds me to switch from the bloated plex :D

Hi, could you maybe explain a little more what you like to see? i have troubles understanding what you mean, it reads a little vague.

Thanks!

Hi!

An option to change the subtitle encoding while playing videos in the web browser.

I have greek subtitles (cp1253 encoded) and i have to convert them to utf8 to show properly.

Also see viewtopic.php?f=5&t=16598 and viewtopic.php?f=5&t=17537&p=94243&hilit=subtitles+encoding#p94243

(sorry for bad english)

Did you try to enter that value in the console for character encoding? If yes and it still doesn't work, can you create a ticket on bitbucket and attach a srt file?

I don't remember :-) But if not, they perhaps should. There is a related ticket also: https://bitbucket.org/xnejp03/serviio/i ... -subtitles
