Could you add user-defined music browsing hierarchies or is this already possible?

I'd like to define not only the top categories for browsing (like genres, albums etc) but also the hierarchies that come below that.
E.g. : GENRE\ARTIST\ALBUM or GENRE\ARTIST\YEAR\ALBUM or YEAR\ARTIST\ALBUM or DATE_ADDED\ARTIST - ALBUM

Currently browsing by genre is pretty useless for me because after selecting the genre ALL tracks of that genre are listed which are simply too many.

noticed thread hasn't been answered and this is exactly the sort of feature I would want esp for listening to Classical music. is this a feature which is being looked into?
