LG TV APP

Hi!

Please make an app for the LG/Samsung smart TV's, similar to Serviigo for the android. LG tv's have the magic remote, and it would be sweet to have all the movies, descriptions, etc right there on the tv!

I'm unsure if it's even possible for a 3rd party to write apps for TVs. Most that I am aware of only offer apps through their own portals. I don't know of any way to install a private app on a TV.

it is documented for Samsung too, but it is not easy job what you ask...

Can you please elaborate on your question, because I don't get it. I mean, my LG TV has built-in support for DLNA and I don't seem to miss any features (apart from the search function but I believe that's on Serviio's to-do-list). In other words, what would need an app for if the LG tv already does it all straight out of the box?

The benefit to having a dedicated app on the TV as I see it would be to work like Servigo (Android Phone App) and use the API to be able to access content over the internet (ie outside your home network where DLNA wouldn't work)

Whilst I think a feature like this would be great, learning how to write the software for each tv would be quite a task.
