Search for media browser

I searched for this request but didn't find it anywhere. Maybe a search feature in Media Browser. This would be helpful as all of my movies have custom index numbers that cause the display by title to list them by their index numbers vice their titles.

You cannot, you can only browse to it using the provided categories.

If you have not set "Titles" active on the presentation tab, you might try that. This gives you the ability to browse by alphabetical subfolders. Like you, I have lots of videos. Over 500 movies and close to 1500 TV episodes. Scrolling through the full list of movies is tedious, especially on my Sony boxes which don't allow rollover from Z back to A (or 0, if you have movies that start with a number). If I want Star Wars, I can go the the S folder and find it much more quickly.

However, there is one other method that works even better for movies you access often. Create a playlist of specific videos. For example, I have a John Wayne playlist, which quickly gives me all the Duke's movies I have. I made a Disney playlist, and here's where the grandkids get to their favorite movies. I have Star Trek and Star Wars the same way. I can get any of these movies with only a few button clicks. I might mention too, if your Sony plays like my media boxes, when one movie ends it will automatically start the next. With playlists, you have complete control what plays and in what order.

i already browse by alphabetical subfolders, but if i don't remember the exact title, i can't find it.
Having a search box would be really great, I don't know whether to implement it, is a technical problem or .... what ?

Thanks
