Add FTP

I'm going nuts with my NAS permissions going away every 10 mins. I have to go over and touch a file on my NAS to make any DLNA server work after 10 min. I tried NetDrive to access my NAS using FTP and it seems to work but doesn't survive a reboot.

Would it be possible to add a "Add FTP..." button to the Library tab?

Cheers,
Zek

Is this something about your environment or Serviio's issue?

It must be my setup since nobody else has an issue. Wild Media Server has similar symptoms so I don't think it's Serviio. I've tried so many things now that I've given up (drivers, operating systems, computers, NIC cards, screen savers, power save settings, ACL lists, service logon rights, etc etc.).

My NAS supports SMB, NFS and FTP. SMB is giving me trouble and FTP seems to work fine. Sounds like a cool feature anyway since it's a low common denominator for accessing a shared media library?

I'd say Samba is more common. FTP would be very low on my priorities list I think.

How about adding SMB authentication then? So Serviio can log on using different credentials than the main user?
