What I would like to see in next release

Different user logins with settings for files/folders: Available and Not Available

Possibility to save password at login

Library refresh settings by schedule

Possibility to add a network share to library (like a NAS on the network). At least I have not made that work.

Slideshow function for pictures and possibility to use arrow keys for next/previous picture

Possibility to modify media browser (Style, background image etc.)

Custom port setting

Not going to happen any time soon

Possibility to save password at login

Will be in the new MediaBrowser in 1.4

Library refresh settings by schedule

Not planned

Possibility to add a network share to library (like a NAS on the network). At least I have not made that work.

Already works.

Slideshow function for pictures and possibility to use arrow keys for next/previous picture

Up to the renderer, if you mean MediaBrowser it should be included in 1.4

Possibility to modify media browser (Style, background image etc.)

Not going to happen, but 1.4 will have redesigned MB

Custom port setting

Which port?

Re: What I would like to see in next release

Good to hear many of my request will happen in MediaBrowser 1.4. Any time for release?

The port I ment is the port Serviio uses (23424).

I will re-test the mapping of my NAS - that would make much easier for me!

Thanks!

Regarding mapping of NAS

What operating system are you using?
If its linux have a look at this post here
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=12234&p=75534#p75534

If its windows map the nas to a drive letter as you would normally then just browse to it from serviio. Make sure to reconnect at login and that your NAS is running the same user account name and password as your pc running serviio is.

My files (on remote drive) are not scanned
Make sure the user that runs Serviio server/service has got access to the shared folders. If you are on Windows, check that the user running the Windows service has got access. To run the service as a different user go to Services (from the Windows Control Panel → Administrative Tools or typing "Services.msc" in the Run command on Start menu), select Serviio, right-click -> Properties, Log On tab, enter the user's details and restart the service.

To access a NAS device the exact same set of credentials must be created on the NAS device. The Windows credentials must be a local user and not a domain user. The user must have "Run As Service" rights. The remote path must be entered as a UNC path in the Serviio Console (e.g. \\server\folder)), mapped drive letters will not work since the user running the Serviio service is not aware of your mapped drives.

UNC is preferred to drive letter (as per the FAQ entry)

Re: What I would like to see in next release

Mapping the NAS now works like a charm after running Seriio service with exact same credentials as the NAS!
