not sure what you want me to do.
device spy does not find my revue. it is a client only. it does find my other media servers and my dvr.
what would you like me to do with the log. it is to large to post or pm to you.

With the first link: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=19
I want you to provide the GetProtocolInfo sink result of your device: this is all supported format of your device
-->spy does not find : Bad news

With the second link : viewtopic.php?f=5&t=7
I anticipated the first bad news, and want you to provide the first detailled logging line after serviio service start, where we could find information about your device:
IP address, header,etc...
--> too large, so stop serviio service, clear log content, restart service

Re: HELP!! RENDER PROFILE FOR LOGITECH REVUE PLEASE

The device doesn't advertise itself, so automatic detection will not be possible at this stage. From your original post I don't really understand what you need the profile to do...

Provide ffmpeg -i on files that you cannot play.

DTS audio will be supported on 0.5 version.
MPEGTS is supported, but Serviio is based on ffmpeg encoder core so:
Please provide ffmpeg -i on files that you cannot play.

It is only the case for mpegts, DTS in MKV is already supported. Obviously the player cannot decode it thought.

thanks so much for your time. again my problem is that my client(revue) does not play mpegts or dts. however it does mkv and ac3 very well. so i was hoping to see a profile that would convert dts audio to ac3. most files i get are mkv flac or avi.
i have no problems with video. most audio files i get are dts. i am just hoping in 0.5 you will have a profile for logitech revue that will provide support for this device specifically. i have mentioned in my original post here the formats thank you!!!!

Re: HELP!! RENDER PROFILE FOR LOGITECH REVUE PLEASE

If it doesn't have support for mpegts (weird), you'll have to transcode the MKVs into mpeg PS (with mpeg2video and ac3/mp3 audio).

Something like:

  Code:
<Video targetContainer="mpeg" targetVCodec="mpeg2video" targetACodec="ac3">
  <Matches container="mpegts" />
  <Matches container="matroska" aCodec="dca"/>
</Video>

Re: HELP!! RENDER PROFILE FOR LOGITECH REVUE PLEASE

confusing to me!
i am looking to create a profile that will keep the vcodec the same (mkv), but to transcode the acodec dca (dts) to ac3 6channel multi for my generic dlna device(logitech revue)

i just dont know the entire code to enter into profiles.
thanks

Re: HELP!! RENDER PROFILE FOR LOGITECH REVUE PLEASE

MKV is the container, video codec is probably H264. You cannot keep the video stream, as you can only remux it into MPEGTS (MKV is not suitable for realtime transcoding). Therefore to change your DTS audio stream you will have to transcode both, audio and video streams into ones that are possible to wrap in MPEG2 PS (as described above).

Other possibility for you is to remux your MKV manually into MKV in an external tool (just change the audio) and play it natively.

You can try to make the profile yourself, with the info provided above. There will be no more functionality in the regard that you need for this particular file/player (as it doesn't support mpegts)
