Media Browser Suggestions
Posted: Tue Apr 23, 2013 1:34 pmAs I understand it you are planning an update to the media browser interface so thought I'd offer my 2 cents for suggestions 
-Forward and back buttons and a home button. I know the home button is there but a clear forward / back button could come in really handy as sometimes you press the browser back button and have to sign in and are back to the beginning
-Remember password button. Just a simple tick box so you don't always have to type in the password
-More tiles per page for smaller resolution screens. Gets a bit annoying when you have a huge media library.
-Instead / aswell as having a certain number of items per page and going to a new page for more, add the option to have one page where you just scroll left to right or up and down.
-Number of items to show per page. (Goes with above 2) Give the user the option to display a specific number of items per page, either say 20, 50, 100, 200 or all and then implement scroll to view these? Having a tab in serviio console where a default option could be configured would also work well with this.
-HTML5 webplayer for Iphones/ iPads.
-Have genre category separate for Movies and Series. Possibly have the sub categories such as genre and year option available under Movies and Series to making finding things easier.
-The ability to share media browser links to certain material with people, proving they know the password
