It will be a good feature if we can create multiple user accounts for media browser so users can have private pics and media streamed only to them not seen by everyone
server running serviio PRO and media browser Intel dual core g2030 3.0Ghz 8gb dd3 ram Microsoft windows server 2012 gigabit network . Devices Sony KDL55W805A, ps3, 2 sony bravia 2011, 5 android devices 2 of them samsung galaxy s3 running bubble upnp and serviigo, netgem netbox , 2 laptops XBMC windows 8
Re: multiple user accounts in media browser
I would also love to see this feature added, and would even happily pay for another PRO license to get this feature.
Also ... let me say how much I love Serviio. A+++

Re: multiple user accounts in media browser
It would be great to have "accounts" in general - rather than setting access permissions by device - so that we can grant different people / family members access to different folders.
I'm not sure how easy this would be given the way DLNA works, but perhaps you could assign devices to accounts in the console and then have separate usernames / passwords for the media browser? Not sure how it would work with 3rd party apps like ServiiGo or ServiiDroid.

Re: multiple user accounts in media browser
For DLNA you would have to pre-assign everything to the devices which is how access groups work.
For MediaBrowser/ServiiGo there is an open ticket already https://bitbucket.org/xnejp03/serviio/i ... tiple-user
It wouldn't affect ServiiDroid, as it uses the console API to access the server.
