Ustream plugin needs updating / remaking

It looks like some streams on ustream are broadcast slightly different to what they used to be.
For example this stream does not seem to work any more and it is certainly live:

From what I can tell the author xs2inattar of the plugin is no longer around (and has not been since Dec 2012), I am asking if someone else can take up developing the ustream plugin using the logic from the github repo?
