Re: ServiiGo (Android 3G/4G/Wifi Playback App)

hi.
i've just installed you app on my tablet and it looks great.
anyway, unfortunately, serviigo can't list folders with tons of files in (300+). i suppose the problem is connected to request timeout. could you increase that to 60 seconds or add a configuration parameter for that?

could you add director and full cast (as from serviio metadata) to movie detail page?

thanks

Re: ServiiGo (Android 3G/4G/Wifi Playback App)

Is that 300± videos? I have tested 1000± audio and image, but possibly not video which do have more data.

Director and cast is not provided by default by Serviio for remote clients, so instead I have look up the data online. At the same time I also fetch high res posters and backdrops. However, this feature requires the ServiiGo donate key, have a look on Google Play to see the differences.

Re: ServiiGo (Android 3G/4G/Wifi Playback App)

yes 300+ videos but I've got a bunch of folders with almost 1000 videos... :)
please remark that timeout and overall tramission speed might also be affected by wifi connection quality... (and mine is quite poor in the room I need serviigo to run)

i'm already considering buying full serviigo but I need to be sure it works where and when i need it to... ;)

thanks

Re: Access Group Restrictions

will wrote:Hi, at the moment this only works when using traditional DLNA clients such as TVs, Serviio does not have the ability to identify remote clients (ServiiGo or MediaBrowser) and until it is added to Serviio there isn't anything I can do for ServiiGo.
@zip, cannot check bitbucket atm, is this scheduled for anytime soon?

Actually the group restrictions are working now. I think it's possibly because I left it overnight and perhaps Serviio did a re-scan...
So the outcome is that you've got to be careful and patient when setting it up, then wait (probably for a scan to finish) then it works as per setup.
Great solution!

Ok I'll try to reproduce the problem and then fix it. I'm very busy atm so probably won't get a chance until later next week to make a new release.

thanks.
it shouldn't be difficult to reproduce: just stuff 600 (or more) movies in a folder and try to browse there... the problem occurs here 99.999% ;)

Re: ServiiGo (Android 3G/4G/Wifi Playback App)

OK I've reproduced and fixed the problem (tested with 800 movies with full metadata descriptions etc...). I do not have access to fixed line broadband at the moment, and google play and bitbucket aren't playing nice with the rather weak 3G signal that I have so you will have to make do with dropbox for now. Download the apk from https://www.dropbox.com/s/elmewvu3059y7 ... er-fix.apk, make sure installing from unknown sources is enabled in the advanced/developer options on your device, then install this apk over your current version. When a new one is out on Goolg Play it will update automatically.

Re: ServiiGo (Android 3G/4G/Wifi Playback App)

I have a quick question and hope you can help. I have downloaded serviigo on my kindle fire, but am unable to login at all. I get the error message that "serviigo has crashed and a report has been sent".

I have a dynamic DNS set up and have port forwarding enabled for 23424 and have no issues accessing MediaBrowser.

Is there a limitation with Kindle Fire that I am unaware of?

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Re: ServiiGo (Android 3G/4G/Wifi Playback App)

From the crash reports it looks like you are using a very old version which most definitely won't work with newer versions of Serviio. Where did you download it from? There is a preview of the next version a few posts back, you could use that for now.

Re: ServiiGo (Android 3G/4G/Wifi Playback App)

Is this the link you are referencing?

https://bitbucket.org/willlunniss/servi%20...%20.2-PRE.apk

I attempted to access this link and get a 404 error on bitbucket. Do I need an account there to access?

Thanks

FYI, I'll be out of the country for the next two weeks so probably won't be able to give any support until I'm back around the 15th ish. Once I'm back I'll be able to focus some real effort on the next version.

Re: ServiiGo (Android 3G/4G/Wifi Playback App)

Hi Guys,

I am having trouble playing back videos. If I don't select original, the playback doesn't work. I ideally would pick medium or low when over 4g. I am using MX Player.

I think I have included the right section of the log :)

Below is the ffmpeg command that is run when selecting LOW. seems to have an issue settings threads to auto. If I remove the threads command, the ffmpeg works. So I assume of I set the transcoding threads to 1 or 2 instead of optimal it would work, but I would prefer not to do this. Any help?

EDIT: Can confirm that if I change the server variable for CPU cores to a number other than optimal it works.

That version of ffmpeg looks quite old, can you get a newer one / build it from the latest source.

Hi.
How is plot rendered on details page?
Is that html or plain text? (I need to have some new line shown here and there but "\n" doesn't work... how about <br /> or else?)

Thanks! :)
