I've managed to reproduce the ICS bug once, i've tried to add a hacky work around, but waiting on it showning up again so that I can test it. As it occurs when the app is starting up after being killed a long time ago, I may just catch it and gracefully restart the app myself.

Small update, not sure when the first bug got introduced, and I have no idea why I/someone else didn't notice it before now.

As for the FC on ICS, I still haven't been able to reproduce it a second time in order to test my fix.

Finally found the combination of actions required to reliably get the FC on ICS and have now fixed it Apart from the odd exception, usually due to the library used for finding servers, that was the last regular bug.

Just installed this app on a Sony Tablet S running Android 4. Fantastic!
Much easier to use than Serviio consoles especially if you have two servers.

Wish List .....
Allow tablet users to increase font size and icon size
- better use of screen real estate and ease of use
Online sources backup to file (RSS perhaps?)
- negate the nececessity for the dire warnings when reordering
- Backups are always a good idea!
Load local RSS file containing standard channel definitions
- Restore backups
- allow definitions to be loaded onto different servers
Display selected server name in the top bar

Tablets is one thing I definately want to revisit once I finish ServiiGo/get it released.
Font size: Do you mean outside of the control of the OS (as I use the standard small/medium/large fonts so if you make the font in the OS bigger, everything should scale up in the app - although never tested layouts).
Which icons, the ones from the Serviio console itself look bad if I make them any bigger, which is why they are smaller.

Backup: been thinking about that/waiting for serviio to implment it. File format would proably be xml/csv, again once ServiiGo and Serviio 1.0 is out the door, i'll have a look into this/arange something with zip so that it will be compatiable later on once serviio supports it. It is definately something I personally wanted while going through the different Serviio 1.0 beta versions.

Tablets: Definately part of the future now prices of Android tabs are dropping. I use my Sony S (amongst other things!) as a universal remote to control my media setup so Droid was a beautiful addition.

Font Size: I tried upping the system font size but only got the display in ServiiDroid I wanted when the system font was 'Huge'. This introduced cropping in long and multiline system logo descriptions. Perhaps possible to increase the font in the app for tablets or introduce font up/down buttons?

Icons: Understand resolution problems. Only way out of that is a new set of icons.

Backup: Now #1 priority after I managed to wipe a long list of online resources from one Serviio. Not sure how I did it. An attack of user digititus me thinks. I should know better.

Server Name: As it appears in switch server or server status. that is "Serviio (PCNAME)" or just PCNAME. I don't 'need' IP or version as they are burnt into my soul but some users might like that.

Reset Search History: (new) A button for this next to the search field in the Search DB screen perhaps.

ServiiDB Search Option: (new) Ability to specify '*' in serch field where scope is limited by setting Media Type, Region and or Title/Plugin to list all entries in the DB for the selection.

OK, I won't give an option to change it, but i'll increase it to use a bigger system base so that it still scales. I might move to two column grids in landscape as well.

I used the same icon set as Serviio to make it obvious to users, if anyone is good with photoshop I would love them to scale them up as there aren't many.

FYI: I am expecting disruption this weekend as am changing ISP.

Most are 16x16 pixels (px), some are a little bigger (all originally from http://p.yusukekamiyamane.com/).

If you did re-do some of them, they would ideally be about 128x128 px indead of the 16x16 which would equate to 64x64 display independent pixels (dp) for very high desnity displays vs the 25x25 dp that I stretch them to atm.
For the larger 30x30 px ones, they would ideally be 192x192 px. However, anywhere in between would still be an improvement.

As for format, just PNG with transparancy.

ISP change went without problems (touch wood!). Awaiting total disaster!

Attached find RAR with 128 & 192 px icons.
Simply resized maintaining original depth and transparency with minimal messing about.

Unfortunately it isn't that easy. I have already effectively done that by letting android scale the resources up and finding the point at which they become unclear. Having icons blown up looks worse than being too small when next to crisp text as you can really see the difference. What is really needed is to either scale them up using nearest neighbour (due to the lack of detail in the original anything else will turn it into a blur fest), then manually add the detail/blend any large blocks of colour. An alternative would be to use a different icon set, but I would rather not due to the instant connection with the other consoles. I tried to use bitmap->vector software, but it is a pain as there is simply not enough detail in the original so it has to be done manually. And manually takes ages as I'm not very good.
