Sony BRAVIA KDL-46HX800 TV

I've installed the software and followed the guides / troubleshooting but nothing works.
The TV doesn't recognise the server at all. No images or movie files or even folders.
I'm using Mac OSX 10.6.5
connecting with ethernet (cable) to my time capsule.

Re: Sony BRAVIA KDL-46HX800 TV

I've installed Serviio on my "master" pc at home, launched it... and pressed "HOME" on my Sony KDL-46HX800.
The Serviio server was there and worked (and still works) perfectly (however it took a "little" time to retrieve all the files in the "library").
I can watch my preferred tv shows, view my last citytrip pictures and listen to my music.

Serviio is "THE" dlna server for Sony tv's...

It's true the Ffwd and Rew functions don't work perfectly: it goes forward or back for a few moments and then stops. Should it be possible to improve this?

ffwd and rwd dont work like a video player they skip fwd or bck that how it works and this is only on natively played file and not transcoded files.

Re: Sony BRAVIA KDL-46HX800 TV

Thanks to patters I now have Serviio running on my Synology DS1010+ to my Sony 55HX800 TV. The Sony still seems to be the weak link in this set up. I still have problems converting videos from iTunes and the Sony is super sensitive to the format. I'm trying to get the best resolution possible, but have problems geting from mp4 to MKV in a reasonable amount of time. Has ayone figured out the combination for this TV.

Please do not hijack other peoples threads and next time please use the search function as the sony TVs have a very big thread all of there own with modified profiles to fix most issues.

Re: Sony BRAVIA KDL-46HX800 TV

Like others I have Serviio installed and connected to Sony 46HX803 and appears to be working fine from my WINDOWS Sony Vioa PC-XP .

HOWEVER....
I have also installed Serviio on my Mac OS X 10.6 and I cannot get it to be recognised on the Sony TV.

Serviio can see the TV in the Console on the MAC but the SONY does not see the MAC Server.

Configuration

WIRED NETWORK from Router to Time Capsule.
Wired TV to time capsule.
Sony PC Wireless to Router - different room.
Tried MAC Wired to Time Capsule- no joy,
Tried the MAC Wireless to Time Capsule- no joy
Tried the Mac Wireless to Router -no joy

Opened up ports on Router for Serviio - No Joy
Firewall turned off for a few minutes (ouch!) - no joy.

Does anyone know if the Mac Serviio works fully and can be sen by Sony Bravio. I have read a few posts here and elsewhere but not clear what needs to be done from here.

PS. Once working I was hoping to map the library to the Time Capsule where there are a Films stored. cannot see the Time Capsule from the SONY!

Thanks :geek:
